When she was younger, Sophie “S. J.” Robert entertained herself by creating stapled-paper books and filling them with her enormous imagination. And while she struggled through deep loss in high school, Sophie found joy through writing and reading fiction. Now she writes books for young adults who’ve experienced the hardships of grief, offering stories that allow them to escape for a moment and come back with the strength to keep going. When not writing novels, you can find Sophie sending humorous emails, giving her cat snuggles he may or may not want, or wrangling her favorite books into the three-act story structure.
